STUDIO NEWBORN SESSION

 

The ideal time for your newborn photo session is between 7-18 days old however depending on your circumstances I can do up to four (4) weeks old. Please contact me ASAP when baby is born to schedule your session.  

Your newborn session will last between 2-3 hours, depending on the cooperation level of baby.  Please plan accordingly. All newborn sessions are booked in the morning and subject to availability.

Your baby is new to the world and I will allow your baby to dictate my workflow. When your baby needs soothing or feeding, I will leave you with the baby until he/she is sleepy and ready to continue the session.

I will have a space heater on in my studio (winter) to keep baby warm while having minimal clothing on, please wear something light and cool so you also feel comfortable.

During the session, I may ask you to assist in certain poses where an extra set of hands is desired. Other than that, you will mostly sit back and relax while I do the settling and posing.

I have a huge range of props and wraps available in my studio, there is no need to bring anything, unless you have a special little something you would like to be included in some photos.

If possible, plan to feed baby when you first arrive at my studio. This allows baby to be full, sleepy and content while I wrap and pose baby.

Babies almost always eat more during a photo session. Keeping the tummy full keeps the baby satisfied and soothed, if bottled fed please remember to bring along extra bottles for the time frame just in case.

Between feeding times, it is very helpful tool to have a pacifier/Dummy available to help settle baby. Even if you do not plan to use a pacifier with your little one, it is recommended to bring one for use during the photo session (I have spare sterilized, unused ones available if you forget). We do whatever is necessary to keep your bub soothed and sleepy during the session, so we can get those special poses.

If you feel you may be running late for your session, a curtesy call or txt to let me know so I can plan would be greatly appreciated. If more than one hour late, we may have to reschedule your booking, subject to availability?
